When his space capsule landed near Van Horn, Texas, Bezos said it was the best day of his life.
He named his spacecraft Alan Shepherd. This is the name of the American astronaut who first traveled to space.
Jeff Bezos took off from a space center in a remote area of Texas on Tuesday morning. They have borne the cost of this flight.
Bezos has become the second billionaire to go into space since the flight.
Accompanying him on private space travel are his brother Mark, Mary Wallace, 82, the first woman to receive space training, and Oliver Damon, 18. Demons have become the youngest person to go into space.
The rocket returned to Earth after reaching an altitude of about 106 km above the ground. After reaching this altitude, the rocket's booster detached from the capsule and landed straight back on the ground, reaching almost where it had begun its flight.
Before opening the parachute to land, the astronauts spent about three to four minutes in a state of weightlessness.
With its first space flight, Bezos broke the July 11 record of British billionaire Richard Branson. Branson's rocket went at an altitude of 85 km. He flew from his rocket spacecraft, the Virgin Galactic. He was accompanied by five other people on the trip.

American billionaire Jeff Bezos, 57, is the founder of Amazon, the largest online buying and selling company. He founded his company, Blue Origin, in 2000 with the goal of establishing permanent colonies in space where people could live and work.
Wallace was part of a group of women who participated in a privately funded program. The program aimed to train women in space travel. However, none of them were able to enter the space.
Born in the Netherlands, Damon is a last-minute passenger in space travel. Damon was added to the space team after an unidentified man, who had bought a spacecraft seat at auction for 28 million, canceled his program due to disagreements with flight schedules. Damon's father was second in the ticket auction. When he had the chance, he decided to send his young son into space.
Bezos became interested in space in his youth when he saw Apollo land on the moon. That's why he set July 20 as the date for his first space trip, the 52nd anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon.
In a televised interview on Monday, Bezos said he had no competition with British billionaire Branson for space travel. Instead, they want to pave the way for space travel so that future generations can do extraordinary things in space.
Blue Origin is also developing a large rocket named New Glenn. It is named after John Glenn, the first astronaut to orbit the Earth. Large rockets will be used to deliver humans and equipment into space.
