Tashkent, July 16: Prime Minister
Imran Khan has said that Pakistan is most affected by the deteriorating
situation in Afghanistan. No one has played a role more than Pakistan in
bringing the Taliban to the negotiating table. I am disappointed, the Taliban
should have been invited to talks before the withdrawal of foreign forces,
C-Pac will also play an important role in regional relations, Afghanistan can

Minister Imran Khan was addressing a conference on "Central and South Asia
2021: Regional Connectivity: Challenges and Opportunities" in Tashkent on
Friday. He said that C-Pac is a flagship project of BRI and hoped that C-Pac
would also play an important role in regional connectivity. Economic activities
at Gwadar Port have started from March 2019. The Prime Minister said that
Afghanistan can play the role of a bridge between Central and South Asia, our
priority is stability in Afghanistan, instability in Afghanistan also affects
Pakistan. He said that Pakistan was most affected by the bad situation in
Afghanistan.
