A controversial statement by
Nepal's caretaker Prime Minister has once again highlighted the ongoing feud
between India and Nepal and has been hotly debated on social media.
According to the Indian News Agency
ANI, on Monday, the caretaker Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli said that
yoga started from Nepal instead of India.
On the occasion of World Yoga Day
yesterday, he also said that when yoga came into being, there was no such thing
as India, but a region that was divided into different regions.
According to the news agency, Prime
Minister Oli said this during a program held at his residence on the occasion
of World Yoga Day.

He also claimed that Indian yoga
experts were hiding this fact.
"The India we have today did
not exist before," he said. At that time India was divided into different
factions. It was like a continent or a subcontinent at that time.
It should be noted that the UN
General Assembly had passed a resolution in 2014 in favor of introducing yoga
to the world, and since then, World Yoga Day has been observed on June 21 every
year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Had Fixed The Day:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had
fixed the day while addressing the General Assembly. Since then, the BJP
government has taken credit for introducing yoga globally.
Remember that before this the world
was aware of this physical and 'spiritual' method of exercise and its centers
were established in all the major cities of the world.
Nepal is trending 'Nepal', 'Nepal
Yoga' and 'Oli' on social media and especially on Twitter after the Prime
Minister's statement.
While people are sharing memes in
their comments, some people are also quoting the old statement of Prime
Minister Oli in which he said that Lord Ram of Hindus was Nepali and Ayodhya in
which he was born is not a city of Uttar Pradesh. Rather, it is a town in
Nepal.
When Ashok Sawai, a professor of peace
and conflict in Sweden, tweeted this recent news, a user named Shubha Sharma
wrote in response: 'This is true. Nepal is mentioned in the same volume as the
Vedas. Patanjali (Maharishi Patanjali, the first yoga teacher) was born in
Nepal and yoga began here. There is no doubt about it. That is why India has
not published a section on Vedas. This country does not want the truth to be
revealed.
